Dudensing Law is proud to announce that our founder, Ed Dudensing, has been honored with the William F. Taylor Memorial Award by California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR).

Presented each year at CANHR’s conference, the William F. Taylor Memorial Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to preventing elder abuse and advancing justice for residents of long-term care facilities. This year, CANHR selected Ed in recognition of his decades-long dedication to exposing systemic neglect, holding corporate operators accountable, and fighting for vulnerable seniors and their families.

For more than twenty years, Ed has devoted his practice to litigating complex elder abuse and wrongful death cases across California. His work has resulted in record-setting verdicts, landmark legal developments, and heightened public awareness of the abuses unfolding inside many skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Beyond the courtroom, Ed is a leading voice for policy reform and public education, most recently authoring Elder Abuse Litigation for The Rutter Group Civil Litigation Series, the first comprehensive treatise dedicated to this area of law. At CANHR’s 28th Annual Elder Law Conference, Ed was a panelist speaking on “Elder Abuse Litigation: Updates/Stuff You Should Know.”

This award reflects Ed’s commitment to justice, and also the mission that drives our team every day: protecting California’s elders, advocating for safer long-term care, and ensuring that their voices are heard.
