Dudensing Law is proud to welcome Matt Chisholm, a career prosecutor with over two decades of courtroom experience to our team. Matt’s wealth of experience, particularly in handling complex criminal cases and his deep commitment to justice, makes him an invaluable addition to our firm.

Before joining Dudensing Law, Matt served for 20 years as a Principal Attorney at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted some of the most serious criminal cases, including elder abuse and homicide. With more than 70 jury trials—16 of them homicide cases—he built a reputation for his sharp legal strategy and unwavering commitment to victims. His dedication earned him the 2022 Sacramento Prosecutor of the Year award, recognizing his impact in the courtroom and beyond.

Matt’s work protecting vulnerable seniors—particularly in the Elder Abuse division—earned him the Outstanding Victim Service Award in 2013. His accomplishments also gained national recognition, with his feature on CBS’s 48 Hours for his groundbreaking work on the Ray Wright abduction and murder case, the first successful “no body” homicide jury trial in Sacramento County in over two decades.

With more than a century of collective experience, Dudensing Law is uniquely positioned to stand up to the large corporations that own nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

“Matt shares our firm’s unwavering dedication to fighting for victims of elder neglect and abuse,” said Ed Dudensing, founder and lead counsel. “We look forward to him joining our team and bringing even more value to our work.”

Dudensing Law is proud to have Matt Chisholm join our team and continuing our work in fighting for victims of elder abuse and neglect across California.
